August, 2017, Lexington - MMLI's Lexington laboratory, has successfully completed a Kentucky Division of Water Microbiological audit. MMLI has been involved in the SDWA since Congress passed the law in 1974. MMLI has 4 certified laboratories across the state of Kentucky conveniently located to serve our PWS clients.
August, 2017, Madisonville - MMLI has developed capabilities to support healthcare facilities to meet the mandate for Legionella testing within their water management plan. In June of 2017, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a mandate requiring all certified Medicare and Medicaid facilities to begin testing their potable water and have a water management plan that meets the requirements of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) industry standards. These standards are designed to reduce the risk of Legionella. Any facility that does not comply with the mandate will risk citation for non-compliance and would be in violation of the CMS Conditions of Participation.
Legionella pneumophila is the most common Legionella species in building water. It's name was the foundation of the Legionnaires' disease. This disease is a severe, often lethal, form of pneumonia. Each year it is estimated that 10,000 to 18,000 people are infected in the United States and is caused by the bacterium Legionella pneumophila.

Misty has now the ability to provide our food/pet food customers with professional advice to help locate the Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Points within their plants. This service is a great addition to our growing list of food and pet food capabilities.
Madisonville, April, 2017 - McCoy & McCoy Laboratories, Inc. is proud to announce that Mr. Brett Davis has been promoted as the Quality Assurance Manager. Brett started his career with MMLI has a Field Tech in our Paducah laboratory. Brett's ambition and drive has allowed him to have several promotions from which his last posion was a Project Manager for key customers. Brett's has a Masters in Watershed Science & Conservation, with a Bachelors' of Science in Biology, from Murray State University.
As the Pretreatment & Laboratory Manager for the Evansville Water & Sewer Utility, I have relied on McCoy & McCoy for a multitude of analytical analyses. Over the years they have went above and beyond supplying me with the information and tools I need to not only meet our NPDES permit requirements but also helping in process control projects.
